Clarity
Juxtapose the two states of being – ‘clarity’ and ‘ambiguity’, as antonyms. Clarity brings clearness, lucidity, precision, and intelligibility, while ambiguity conveys vagueness, uncertainty, haziness and doubt.
I’ve re-discovered that I need to take time to rest more, to clear myself completely from the daily life tasks, to get away. Getting away from my normal routine of life is how I rest best. This takes my mind off of everything for a short time so I can rejuvenate my energy. If I don’t get the rest I need, my body lets me know by injuring myself or perhaps getting sick. This forces me to rest and become clear again.
This is what has recently happened. I’m still recovering from a cold as I write this. Hhmm…’Practice what you write, Susie’. Luckily, I’m feeling clear again!
Why do I write about ‘clarity’ you may wonder. The topic is pretty tricky to write about. What do you need to know as the reader to be interested in ‘clarity’? Who am I actually writing about ‘clarity’ for? I think there are others of you out there who understand what I’m writing. If not, who am I writing for other than myself?
So I ask you, why do I write about ‘clarity’?
For starters, we live in a society of being too busy! All of our technological devices, emails, facebooks, jobs, home life, and hobbies, where is the time for ‘me’? With so much happening in daily life, we need clarity to show up at least once per day!
Another reason, sometimes life is stressful and we find ourselves in situations where making decisions about challenging issues can be ‘crazy-making’. Right? Having clarity in our hearts and minds is helpful!
And, did you read the descriptions above in the first sentence? I’d much rather have clarity in my life than ambiguity. What about you?
Having a sense of clarity can show up in varying forms like decision-making, communication, and wellbeing. When you make a decision you want to be precise and intelligent. You want to articulate coherently when you’re communicating to others your needs and intentions. And, when you think about your overall sense of wellbeing, feeling clear in your mind, heart, body and spirit generates peace and calm.
What brings clarity for me? Allowing time for my own quietness to simply be. Meditation, calm, breathing slowly and deeply, bringing my consciousness to the surface and waiting to see what expresses itself. Understanding, listening, and love of myself. Opening my heart. Recognizing my passions. Being mindful. Body awareness. Walking my labyrinth.
What brings clarity for you?
Bring clarity to your mind and heart. Give yourself exactly what you need for your own sense of clarity.
